Article Abstract:

The media strategy for a congressman's fictitious campaign to be the next senator from the state of Narnia is discussed. The ways in which the congressman's identity will be created to attract the maximum number of votes is described in detail. The importance of appearing knowledgable to the media and spinning a message into a policy are also discussed. Being seen in the media with animals and celebrities is also important. The importance of addressing key issues concerning the state on television and radio is described. To get maximum positive coverage, reporters must be dealt with intelligently.

Getting to the heart of Conrad. Bringing Conrad's classic novel Nostromo to the screen involved a crew of 60

Article Abstract:

Hollywood directors have unsuccessfully attempted to transfer Joseph Conrad's novel Nostromo to the screen, due to the non-linear narrative, the multi-national cast of characters and the complex issues raised. However the novel is to be screened as a four part series on BBC 2 in autumn 1996. The BBC is committing about 9 million pounds sterling to the project with RAI of Italy and TVE of Spain contributing a further 3 million pounds sterling.

Shooting for the screen

Article Abstract:

Still photography techniques change when shooting for multi-media shows. The major consideration is that shots are for a combined image unlike still photography. Each shot should be taken to be supportive of the whole production. Shots should remain simple, but graphic, and be taken horizontally.
