Hall marks

Article Abstract:

Tony Hall, managing director of BBC news and current affairs, is extremely enthusiastic about his work. He has a public image of being rather dull, but colleagues report that this is not the case at all. He is regarded as hard-working, sympathetic and one of the few visionaries within the BBC. He believes that the main areas of priority over the next few years will be core output, continuous television news and interactive and online services.
