Jackson takes aim

Article Abstract:

Channel 4's chief executive, Michael Jackson, is expected to make his mark in the company after planning, listening and thinking during his first year at the helm of the terrestrial television station. Jackson, who is perceived to be knowledgable of the value of secrecy in boosting competitiveness, is expected to come through for Channel 4 in September 1998 with the launch of new programs, such as the Boys Unlimited comedy spoof and the provisionally-titled Nightly comedy program. Jackson was also seen to have infused Channel 4 with clarity regarding peaktime problems and the need for a landmark series.
