Article Abstract:

The reporting of the 2003 Iraq war in the upper-class newspapers in Sweden and the US is studied, which exhibit noticeable disparities between the two papers. A discussion focuses on the significance of such disparities in reporting and also the likely reasons ingrained in the national media and political systems.

Where freedom matters: Internet adoption among the former socialist countries

Article Abstract:

The inter-country differences in Internet connectivity among the formerly socialist countries of Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union and Mongolia are explored. The countries with higher levels of civil liberties and those with Christian majority populations tend to have higher Internet connectivity.
