Remote control

Article Abstract:

The UK's Independent Television Commission (ITC), during the course of preparing its 1995 commercial television performance reviews, has criticised the increasing number of regional co-productions between ITV companies. In a bid to curtail the practice, which it sees as diluting the distinctiveness of regional broadcasting, the ITC has revamped its requirements for Channel 3 licensees and redefined its rules for collaboration. Among the licensees showing high levels of co-production are Anglia/Meridian and Granada/LWT.
