The growing competition between multichannel and terrestrial broadcasters and the cutting edge of the latter over the former is reviewed. Terrestrial broadcasters like Five use set-top boxes, invest in live-one offs in providing Freeview experience for the viewers in the areas with poor efficacy in broadcasting.
