C4 to show animated film of concentration camp survivor

Article Abstract:

Channel 4 is preparing to show Silence, a one-off animation revolving around the true story of Tana Ross, a survivor of the holocaust. Ross narrates the story of her stay in a concentration camp in Czechoslovakia when she was a child and her survival from country to country to cope with her experience. The 11-minute film, which was produced by Orly Yadin and Sylvie Bringas, will be shown in January 1999. Yadin expressed that the story was told in animation to provide more detail and to allow the viewers to identify more closely with Ross.
