Soccer and Caine combo boosts Channel 5 figures

Wednesday's "Coronation Street" received 11.72 million viewers dropping the ITV show to eighth place due to the World Cup Qualifier receiving 5.59 million viewers at 19:00. The World Cup match gave Channel 5 the biggest viewing audience for the 21:00 time slot with 7.96 million viewers, and "Get Carter" at the 22:00 time slot kept the ratings going for Channel 5.

ITV ratings dip greets Sir Trevor's return at Ten

Article Abstract:

Broadcaster ITV won the primetime ratings race with a 40 per cent share, down from 46 per cent last week. The return of 'News at Ten' with Sir Trevor had an audience of 8.02 million on Monday, but returned to normal ratings for the rest of the week.
