Homicide by juvenile girls

Article Abstract:

Analyses of homicide data from 1984 to 1993 shows little change in the characteristics of homicides committed by adolescent juvenile girls. Homicides by girls differ from those by boys and women. Homicides by girls and women involve interpersonal conflict and domestic stress rather than aggression or criminal acts which are common amongst boys. Contrary to boys, girls use a knife rather than firearms, and their victims are of the opposite sex. Girls differ from women in the frequent involvement of an accomplice, and their victims who are often females between 13 to 20 years of age.

The present recession is seriously threatening the survival of many classified recruitment departments in Great Britain. For the first half of 1991, recruitment advertising showed a 40% drop, a figure that is expected to continue rising. The efforts of classified advertising managers to stay in the business may be classified into two strategies: maintaining market share or maintaining revenue. One of the main goals for many managers in these hard times is getting 'value for their money.'

The origins of I-Tech

Article Abstract:

Instructional technology, or visual instruction, began to be a force between 1918 and 1924. The first course for teachers was at the University of Minnesota in 1918. School movies were also being commercially made by that year. Many teachers appreciated these new teaching aids, though emphasizing that they were only aids to the teachers rather than replacements.
