The wild west

Article Abstract:

In the race to become the United Kingdom's largest television broadcasting company, Granada is expected to take over Yorkshire Tyne Tees Television since it already owns approximately 14%. Carlton is expected to merge with HTV following HTV's failed merger proposal with Scottish Television. Another, more direct route for Carlton, would be to take over Meridian Broadcasting, although Carlton's future still remains uncertain.
