Tower registrations

Article Abstract:

The FCC's tower registration process applies to all towers high enough to require FAA construction clearance. Coordinates and height information must be accurately determined and cannot be copied from license information, so documented survey data must be submitted or another survey conducted. Tower registration provides benefits for tenant licensees, although broadcasters who do not lease space are still required to register their towers.

Tower registration

Article Abstract:

Broadcast tower owners have additional registration responsibilities under revised FCC rules. Each tower in an array must be registered. Adding tower height also requires a filing. A chart listing registration date by tower site is included, covering the three year registration window the FCC initiated in July 1996. The registration procedures, forms, and other FCC requirements are also discussed.
