ASC wins air warfare destroyer build

Article Abstract:

Australia's Department of Defense has selected Australian Submarine Corporation (ASC) for the US$4.6 billion Project SEA 4000 Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) programme. ASC would assist the government in choosing which of the three designers, Blohm+Voss, Gibbs & Cox, or Navantla, would get the AWD design contract.

Australia releases new patrol boat RFT

The Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) of Australia has issued a Request for Tender (RFT) for a new series of Replacement Patrol Boats. The patrol boats are intended for the Royal Australian Navy.

About face on RAN's Collins combat system

The Royal Australian Navy has decided not to competitively bid for enhancements to Collins-class submarine combat systems and will instead work closely with the US Navy to upgrade the submarines.
