Alliance ground surveillance programme (AGS) - questions ahead

Article Abstract:

The accomplishment of the alliance ground surveillance programme (AGS) will finally head towards the road of success. The competitive proposals from TIPS and CTAS teams have been taken for evaluation, and the final selection may be completed by February 2004 leading to contract award for design, development and acquisition in December 2004.

Beyond science fiction: Building a real cognitive assistant

Article Abstract:

DARPA's program PAL (Personalized Assistant that Learns), the first instance of a complete cognitive assistant, will be developed and integrated by SRI International and Carnegie Mellon University. The gap between individual research results as science projects and the creation of a complete, working cognitive system will now be bridged.

The Spanish Air Force's 11 wing was formally activated on 16 October 2003 as the first operational unit to be equipped with the Eurofighter (CE-16). This event is an important milestone in the history of largest on going military aviation project in Europe and also the biggest programme for the air superiority fighter in the world.
