Army enlists more UAVs: Smaller, modular brigades will rely on robotic scouts

Article Abstract:

The U.S. Army would rely more on the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as the U.S. Army reorganizes itself into more smaller, agile and modular brigade. The Shadow 200 tactical UAV system is important for reconnaissance and surveillance work, which would help in the protection of the personnels from the harmful situation.

Naval gun goes ashore: Army adapts Phalanx for anti-mortar role

Article Abstract:

The Army's Counter-Rocket Artillery Mortar system (C-RAM) is designed to shred incoming projectiles in a curtain of lead fired from a huge Gatling gun. The C-RAM is built around the Raytheon Phalanx Close-In Weapons System (CIWS), a radar-guided, multibarrel gun used on Navy warships to shoot down incoming missiles.

Killing with kindness: Political correctness infiltrates the Army

Article Abstract:

An Army video touting the high-tech capabilities of the $100 billion Future Combat Systems (FCSs) for less critical operations is discussed. The fundamental purpose of FCS is discussed which is intended to kill the enemies and destroy their ability to carry on the fight while shattering their will.
