Artillery 2006

Article Abstract:

Significant changes are taking place in the field of artillery and the thrust is on mobility, air transportable, light weight, precision strike capability, ease of handling and a smaller crew to operate field guns and supporting systems. MILTECH circulated a questionnaire to the Directors of Artillery and/or Commandants of the Artillery Schools in a number of representative armies, and asked them to describe main field artillery assets, and information of future-oriented procurement programmes.
