Article Abstract:

Belle Chasse Naval Air Station had the first Air Cavalry Brigade's Task Force Warriors flown for the New Orleans rescue effort. A second task force from the 1st Cavalry Division - the 2nd Brigade's Task Force Blackjack, left Fort Hood, Texas by convoy arrived to assume responsibility for security and assistance efforts in Orleans Parish south of the Mississippi River.

One pilot

Article Abstract:

Capt. Jen Reynolds, a Black Hawk helicopter pilot, who commands the 'Black Hearts' (Company B, 4th Battalion, 3rd Aviation Brigade), is equally good at flying and commanding. The little things that Capt. Reynolds does like contributing to any work like mounting a gun or carrying ammunition or taking on any small task, impresses her soldiers.

Baghdad: the crossroads

The firefight at Curly, one of the three isolated battles that were the key to the fall of Baghdad and Saddam Hussein's regime, where the American soldiers were put to the test and prevailed, are described.
