Article Abstract:

The necessity of warfare against asymmetric enemies, that is, Navies or organizations that are tools of terrorism and organized crime, has led to the resurgence of small caliber guns to be installed aboard warships. The relatively low-cost purchase and usage of these guns requiring smaller expenditure of ammunition, and the short time required for crew training are advantages provided by the small caliber guns.
