Mytilineos Holdings SA Chmn Evangelos Mytilineos believes that the EMPAE five-year modernization program of the Hellenic Armed Forces is creating basic changes in the Greek defense equipment procurement sector. To take advantage of the increased requirement of over 25% local component for foreign defense industry suppliers, Mytilineos is actively pursuing cooperative agreements with such companies as Lockheed Martin and Raytheon.

ADT/ADS - weapons of the 21st century?

Article Abstract:

The Active Denial Technology (ADT) is a new class of weapons of the 21st century that are intended for crowd control and other applications requiring the use of non-lethal or less-than-lethal force, with the additional advantage of their action being totally invisible and inaudible. The status of the ADT programme, the way the ADT weapons work, the technical analysis of the weapon, and its effect on human beings are discussed.

The company is exporting around 70% of the production and its systems are used by more than 30 armed forces all around the world supported by the development of own designs.
