Beyond visual range engagements and CLAWS

Article Abstract:

The complementary low-altitude weapons system (CLAWS), designed to be a beyond visual range missile system, will use common aviation command and control system (CAC2S) and the multirole radar system (MRRS) that is still strictly conceptual. Short-term solutions for the command and control and sensor systems are being analyzed with the aim of developing a highly accurate weapons system that will combine the unique features of the HAWK (homing all the way killer) missile and the Stinger missile.

The 105 can fill the EFSS requirement

Article Abstract:

The author believes that the M101 105mm Howitzer is the perfect weapon for today's expeditionary military. The howitzer provides effective and accurate firepower and is light enough to be towed by truck or carried by a helicopter.
