Braking down 'sea power 21': IQPC conference on 'sea basing', London

Article Abstract:

The proceedings of the IQPC conference on 'sea basing' that took place on 24-26 February 2004 in London are presented. The conference showed that the US and UK are steaming ahead towards a modernized maritime pre-positioning force and many countries that claim to have sizable and modern amphibious or other power projection forces did not participate and not all European shipyards were represented.
