Britain opts for Airbus tankers

Article Abstract:

Whitehall's decision to seek an Airbus-based solution to its Future Strategic Tanker Aircraft (FSTA) requirement must be regarded as a remarkable victory with regard to the British public's general skepticism towards Europe. The FSTA requirement is designed to provide No.2 Group with the ability to refuel aircraft in the air and to transport service personnel and their dependents long distances in airline fashion.

FRES-A new approach for British armor

The Future Rapid Effects System (FRES) is the most radical approach to British armored vehicle development since its introduction incorporating the latest in vehicle electronics. The overall requirement is to provide a coherent fleet with a common chassis and dedicated modular hulls.
