Complementary enhancements under way for Hydra-70 rocket

Article Abstract:

The US organizations are developing enhancements for the Hydra-70 2.75in (70mm) rocket, which can be fitted with interchangeable warheads, including high-explosive, smoke, flare and submunition payloads. A circular error probable of better than 1m, and a hit probability of 87% at extreme range would transform the Hydra-70 from an area-suppression weapon into one that can engage softly and lightly armoured point targets at ranges out to 6km.
