Countering the pirate and terrorist threat: Fast attack craft (FAC) becoming ever more popular

Article Abstract:

Fast Attack Craft (FAC) has become the natural choice for many countries with coastal waters and straits to defend from hostile aggressions and terrorist threat. An overview of the worldwide development of such FACs is presented and the advantages they offer as against their predecessors, the large heavy frigates used previously, are discussed.
