Czech intelligence reforms

Article Abstract:

The need for reform of the Czech RepublicEs four intelligence services, namely, two civilian, two military to undergo reforms to their structure, co-ordination and oversight following a series of scandals, is addressed. Critics are calling for the creation of a joint intelligence committee comprising of politically, neutral former senior intelligence officers for coordinating, assessing and synthesizing the activities, that would pass findings to the government, provide feedback on operations and contributing in budgetary matters.

Hungarian-Czech defence co-operation

Article Abstract:

The Czech Republic and Hungary have jointly developed the Pilota Nekuli Repulgip (PNR), an enhanced Sojka III unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The PNR is manually controlled during take-off and landing but also flies in a semi-automatic mode through onboard systems. The UAV may also be flown in full-automatic mode by using a pre-programmed reconnaissance route plan. While the basic version of the PNR already proves adequate in certain applications, Hungary has upgraded the basic version by producing larger variants.
