Architecture for southern European missile defense to be tested on Crete

Article Abstract:

The Hellenic Air Force (HAF)s new Raytheon Patriot missile system is participating in the latest edition of the multinational training event, Joint Project Optic Windmill, JPOW VIII, that is scheduled to take place on the Greek island of Crete in April 2004. JPOW VIII is assumed to try out a very complex extended air defense/theater air and missile defense architecture in southeastern Europe.
