ELTA's family of ground-based movement detection radars

Article Abstract:

Elta Electronics Industries Ltd's family of ground-based movement detection radars is ideal for borders and sensitive sites wherein smuggling and illegal immigration are common. The radars can also offer 24-hour, battlefield surveillance under all whether conditions. The family of detection radars is composed of such models as EL/M2140 AGSR (Advanced Ground Surveillance Radar), EL/M-2129 MDSR (Movement Detection & Security Radar) and EL/M-2128 MINDER (Miniature Detection Radar).

COMET satellite-based targeting and navigation system for MBTs

Article Abstract:

Azimuth Technologies Ltd of Israel has developed a satellite-based targeting and navigation system for main battle tanks and other fighting vehicles with a turret. The system, called Comet, provides accurate north finding, calculation of turret/gun attitude, navigational data, self- location and target location. It is available as a sensor or as a stand- alone sytem.

Positioning, navigation, and time technology: a review of key issues and expected developments

The future development and military applications of positioning, navigation and time technology are discussed. They include inertial navigation systems, radio and data-based referenced navigation systems, gravity meters and gradiometers, magnetometers and magnetic gradiometers, and precise time and frequency systems.
