Elettronica, BAT establish electronic warfare joint venture for Gulf region

Article Abstract:

Abu Dhabi-based Baynunah Aviation Technology (BAT) and Italian electronic warfare firm Elettronica SpA launched a new joint venture company in April 2007 that will create a 'center of excellence' for electronic defense technology in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Gulf region. ELTBAT Electronic Systems Development LLC will initially focus on in-country technical and logistics support, before moving on to the design and development of EW systems for airborne, ground and naval applications.

Lockheed Martin would expand its business-wide financial and administrative system signifying the culmination of efforts to consolidate stand-alone Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems (Ne&SS) business lines into a single cohesive entity. The move will make company the world's single largest supplier of naval combat system as it seeks to transform its internal processes and introduce a unified accounting structure.

Lockheed Martin regroups naval businesses in MS2

Lockheed Martin has restructured its Naval Electronics & Surveillance Systems (NE&SS) business segment into a single enterprise known as Maritime Systems & Sensors (MS2) in order to streamline operations and improve competitiveness and address key markets. The five units constituting NE&SS will be realigned into eight lines of business designed to achieve market attention.
