Elta Systems displays its third Gulfstream ISR architecture

Article Abstract:

Israel Aircraft Industries' (IAI) subsidiary Elta Systems used the Asian Aerospace 2006 exhibition in Singapore (21-25 February 2006) to highlight its third Gulfstream business jet-based intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) architecture under the designation of the EL/I-3150 Multi-mission Airborne Reconnaissance and Surveillance System (MARS2). The latest concept is billed as being a last-deployment, all-in-one task force that is capable of providing ground surveillance/early warning.

USAF's EC-130H takes DIRCM on board

Article Abstract:

Confirmation was received that US Air Force (USAF) EC-130H 'Compass Call' electronic attack aircraft are equipped with the Northrop Grumman AN/AAQ-24(V) Directed Infra-red CounterMeasures (DIRCM) system, for operation in Southwest Asia. Compatible with the Block 30 EC-130H configuration, suitably equipped Compass Call aircraft normally carry two Special Emitter Array pods on underwing racks outboard of the outer port and starboard engines.

IAI defines SIGINT aircraft configuration

Article Abstract:

Israel Aircraft Industries has released the configuration of the Gulfstream G500 'Shavit' SIGnals INTelligence (SIGNIT) that it is developing for the Israel Defense Force. Externally the configuration of 'Shavit' includes a ventral 'canoe' antenna fairing, a ventral COMINT interferometer array and a dorsal communications array.
