Fighter aircraft-a global review

Article Abstract:

A comprehensive technological and commercial status report on the current major programmes for fighter aircraft worldwide is described. The status reports of Lockheed Martin's F/A-22 Raptor, J-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), Boeing's F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, Dassault Rafale, Sukhoi's Su-27/-30 family, CAC's J-10, Boeing's F-15E derivatives, Lockheed Martin's F-16 Fighting Falcon, Saab's JAS 39 Gripen, Eurofighter Typhoon and Dassault's MIRAGE 2000 are presented.

F-16 diplomacy: America, India and Pakistan

Article Abstract:

The impact of United States decision to resume the sale of F-16 to Pakistan and transform it into a successful and moderate state and at the same time support India to become a major world power is discussed. This decision of the Bush administration may be viewed as a step taken in order to pacify India while the U.S. tries to assist Pakistan.
