Forward air control trainer to go on display

Article Abstract:

The Fighter Collection based at Duxford in the UK has developed a PC-based system for training forward air controllers known as FACSE (Forward Air Controller Simulation Engine), which would be unveiled at the DSEi 2005 exhibition in London in September 2005. FACSE is based upon a Fighter Collection simulation engine used in the company's entertainment software product Lock On: Modern Air Combat.

UK plans expansion to solve TACP air-land capability gaps

Article Abstract:

At the Second Omega Offensive Air Support Conference held at London on 15-16 November 2004, a plan was announced to further expand the forward air controlling capabilities of the UK forces. The future FACs will have to master the art of using unmanned arterial platforms (both sensors and shooters) and will have to rely on data transmission system.
