Force protection in the non-lethal world

Article Abstract:

The emergence of unconventional battlespace weapons systems has made it imperative that the Marine Corps be trained for proper use of equipment and wearing of personal protective gear to avoid unnecessary exposure and subsequent secondary health risks. The 21st century battlespace emphasizes a need for vigilance to counter the challenges to health posed by lasers, millimeter waves and non-ionizing electromagnetic energy.

Marine artillery's dilemma: the requirements-acquisition disconnect

Article Abstract:

The Marine artillery programs and some of the possible remedies for the artillery's requirements-acquisition dilemma are discussed. The Marine artillery needs to support the acquisition plan of the expeditionary maneuver warfare (EMW) in order to overcome the requirements-acquisition dilemma.
