Fourth activation of BlackSeaFor and the Black Sea partnership '05 exercise

Article Abstract:

Exercise Black Sea Partnership '05 was conducted between 7-10 April 2005 in the territorial seas and southern international waters of Black Sea with an aim of increasing the coordination capabilities among the six Black Sea littoral States. The second phase of fourth activation of BlackSeaFor was carried out between April 4-27, 2005, where the ships took part in a Turkish-planned exercise based around the search and rescue of a damaged submarine.

Defendory 2006 - Above-standard exhibition in a sub-standard location

Article Abstract:

The DEFENDORY 2006 Exhibition, organized by the Institute of Industrial Exhibitions, was held at the Piraeus Exhibition Centre under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of National Defense. 439 companies from 30 countries including Germany, Italy, Sweden and the US displayed their products and services, focusing on the various procurement programs of the Hellenic Armed Forces.

Article Abstract:

Exercise Black Sea Partnership '05 held in the Black Sea during 7-10 April 2005 was aimed at maintaining peace and stability and promoting co-operation amongst the six Black Sea littoral States. Joint exercises, tactical maneuvers and defensive ASuW and ASW operations, testing of communication networks were some of the features of the exercise.
