Change of focus: Naval Forces Europe casts its attention on Africa and the Black Sea

Article Abstract:

Vice Adm. Henry G. Ulrich III, commander, US Naval Forces Europe (CNE) is looking for military partners in Ghana, Gabon, Angola and South Africa and searching for ways to create new military coalitions with networked communications. He has also started building relationships eastward with nations in the Black Sea region, including new NATO members, Bulgaria and Romania as well as Russia, the Ukraine, Georgia and Azerbaijan.

Naval aviators detail Iraqi freedom triumphs, travails at air symposium

Article Abstract:

The annual National Aviation Symposium was held at the National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola, Florida, and was attended by most of the Naval aviation personnel and their supporters. The sea service aviation veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom have given details and anecdotes from their experiences in Iraq during the campaign.
