Global NATO: Overdue or overstretch?

Article Abstract:

There is no need of a global NATO, but it should transform into an Alliance that protects its members against the global threat of terrorism, weapons of mass destruction and states dangerous to peace. An increasing global approach to security with organizations playing their respective roles would be overstretching the NATO, but advancement of military capabilities and political relationships among Alliance members would enable it to deliver better security.

Training for peace support operations

Article Abstract:

The NATO Partnership for Peace program stresses the differences between war-fighting and peace support functions, including the multinational nature of the peace support troops, the relative de-centralization of authority, a large area of operations, and frequent contact with civilians.
