Netherlands decides to procure Lockheed PAC-3 missiles

The Netherlands defense ministry (MoD)'s decision to procure Lockheed Martin PAC-3 missiles for its four Raytheon Patriot ground-based air-defense units is highlighted. The four Patriot systems are the latest Post Deployment Build 5.5.2 software standard, which allows to timely detecting large numbers of TBMs and low-flying targets

HUGIN synthetic aperture sonar to be equipped with super resolution

Article Abstract:

The Royal Norwegian Navy's (RNoN)'s advanced synthetic aperture sonar (SAS), HUGIN Mine Reconnaissance System (MRS) intended to be equipped with a volume search sonar to detect tethered mines is presented. The RNoN plans to task the HUGIN system providing very high-resolution seafloor imagery and bathymetry data, to classify the seafloor and determine the sea current.
