Harris exhibits Falcon III manpack radio

Article Abstract:

The Harris RF-300M-MP Falcon III software-defined multiband manpack variant was unveiled at the 2006 AUSA Exhibition, which was held in Washington in October 2006. The Harris Falcon III manpack radio, due to enter production in 2007, is claimed to be half the size of previous multiband manpacks and 40% lighter, with a significantly greater frequency range.

The French Army's structure continues to evolve including the key innovation of France's own deployable rapid reaction headquarters. While the service is committed to fielding a range of force sizes, senior French Army officials have acknowledged a lack of practice at major deployments in relation to global high-intensity operations.

Pandur II in profile: Steyr's 8x8 digitized warfare platform is gathering speed

Article Abstract:

The first example of Steyr-Daimler Puch's Pandur II 8x8 wheeled armored vehicle was not functional until 2003, and thus it might be counted as one of the newest in the field. The Pandur II, Steyr's mobile digitized warfare platform has a strong history with Portugal and Czech Republic being first among its international customers.
