Article Abstract:

Vance Serchuk and Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRT) in Afghanistan pronounced joint civilian-military efforts to be a key to winning the hearts and minds of Afghans, buttressing the authority of the government in Kabul and providing a central effort in the US counterinsurgency campaign. In Afghanistan, PRTs are small, primarily military organizations with representatives from the US civilian government agencies and the Afghan government.

Rafale F2s join French force in Afghanistan

Article Abstract:

The first operational deployment of the aircraft F2 Rafale for both the navy and airforce services of France were set up in Afghanistan in the second week of March. The aircraft were set up after two-month training in air-to-ground at the Centre d'Experiences Aeriennes Militaire (CEAM) experimental aviation centre in Mont-de-Marsan to unite new GBU-12 laser-guided bombs.

UK calls for NATO reinforcements as it sends additional troops to Afghanistan

Article Abstract:

The U.K. Ministry of Defence (MoD) has asked the support of members of NATO to send extra troops to Afghanistan to backup the International Security Assistance Force (SAF) operations. Poland, France, Germany, and Lithuania are sending troops and support to reinforce the ISAF troops.
