Hellenic Air Force AEW&C aircraft program entering crucial test phase

Article Abstract:

Hellenic Air Force (HAF) has received the first of four Erieye/EMB-145H airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft that has been supplied by an Ericsson-led consortium under an SKr5 billion (US$646m) contract in Greece. Ericsson and its main industry partner, Thales Airborne Systems, have started a 10-month flight test program at Halmstad to fine-tune the performance of the aircraft's radar and command-and-control systems.

High performance is paramount to Mako's bid for Eurotraining program

Article Abstract:

A consortium of five of Europe's top aerospace companies will submit their feasibility report of a fighter pilot training program to twelve European air forces including France, Germany, Italy and Sweden among others. The study, which looked into options for training, types of aircrafts and possible simulators, was conducted after a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between European Air Chiefs (EURAC) and the consortium.

Netherlands' aerospace companies aim for stake in RNLAF MALE UAV programme

Article Abstract:

Aerospace industries in the Netherlands are aiming to claim a stake in the programme to acquire eight-medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and the associated ground stations for the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) by 2010-12. The final operational requirement document (ORD) for the Netherlands MALE UAV programme was approved by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in The Hague on 27 June 2006.
