Hellfire II completes Tiger integration

Article Abstract:

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC) announced in 2006 the successful completion of a four-year programme to integrate the AGM-114 Hellfire II missile system, including the M299 'smart' launcher, on the Eurocopter Tiger ARH (Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter) for the Australian Army on 12 June 2006, at the Eurosatory land system exhibition in Paris. The weapon's capability in multiple flight/launch scenarios against different targets was amply demonstrated and Hellfire II is actively being promoted to France and Spain as a low-cost, low-risk missile for arming their Tiger helicopters.
