Hit the trail: All terrain vehicles give U.S. troops more mobility

Article Abstract:

Sportsman MV is a four-wheeled all-terrain wheel vehicle (ATV) that is built by Polaris of Medina, Minn for the US Special Operations Command. This all-terrain vehicle is capable of carrying troops through narrow trails inaccessible to Humvees and is first vehicle of its kind that has a built-in night-vision-goggles capability and an infrared headlight.

The Protective Combat Uniform, a clothing system for the U.S. Navy SEALs is based on the state-of-the-art outdoor gear usually seen in the extreme sports world. The PCU ensemble includes shirts and pants that provide four levels of insulation for a range of a climates.
