Joint common missile will bolster Navy, Marine and Army air power

Article Abstract:

The Joint Common Missile (JCM), which has a sophisticated guidance package, long range and ability to be fired from a variety of platforms, gives the Army, Navy and Marine Corps aviation crews a powerful new weapon from the air. The JCM will be replacing Lockheed Martin's Hellfire missile used for the AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopter and Raytheon AGM-65 Maverick used by strike aircraft and it will be cutting down on logistics and support chains by offering a common weapon.
