LAND WARRIOR Plus: a programme update

Article Abstract:

The US Army Land Warrior program stands out from its mixture of technology and human interface. Envisioned to create a 21st century digital soldier, Land Warrior maximizes and integrates technology and user capabilities. All components of the system, such as the computer-assisted helmet display and the GPS receiver, are designed to be mutually supportive of each other, resulting in an enhanced situational awareness and lethality for the soldier in the battlefield.

Closing the gap

Article Abstract:

The lessons learnt from the post-9/11 war by the US and the allied nations are described. The war on terrorism is misleading and the US and its allies should close the gap between these understandings and that which should be a revised US package of activities against those who would execute another terrorist act.
