Less-lethal weaponry needs a co-ordinated approach

Article Abstract:

The 7th Jane's less-lethal weapons conference held in Dublin was themed at the need for a more co-ordinated procurement and use of less-lethal weapons. The speakers at the conference cited the decentralized, uncoordinated and under funded nature of less-lethal weapons projects around the world as a problem for the introduction of such technologies.

The promise and problem of laser weapons

Laser weapons of the future will not look like neon light, but will be invisible to the naked eye. Issues concerning the services use of a family of operational lasers over the next 20 years are presented.
