Women in combat

Article Abstract:

A Silver Star award to female soldier for her performance under fire should be a significant factor in the continuing argument about women's role in combat. Her performance earned a well-deserved recognition, but it also calls attention, but it also calls attention to the fact that other women routinely are earning Combat Action Badges for their solid professional performances under fire.

Veterans Day

Article Abstract:

A former commander in chief of US Army Europe and a senior fellow of AUSA's Institute of Land Warfare has expressed his views on 'Veterans Day'. He describes that Veterans Day was their annual acknowledgment of the respect and honor that they pay to those who have served in their armed forces over the centuries.
