Living and working on board: Today's sailors ask for comfort

Article Abstract:

A total of five units of the new K130 corvette ship type are scheduled to be commissioned in 2007 and 2008 and the 'Braunschweig' class corvette will be a vital component of the Bundeswehr response forces. The K130 corvette has the capability to provide naval gunfire support, which will enable the Navy to commission a cutting-edge and technologically advanced weapon system and make a decisive contribution to Alliance commitments.

The Law of the Sea Treaty was drawn up in a bid to control sovereignty over coastal waters, which unfortunately remains unratified 25 years later after 1982.
