Mediterranean SEAD moves

Article Abstract:

The Elliniki Polemiki Aeroporia has reintroduced the 341st Mira Squadron for suppression-of-enemy-air-defenses applications in Greece. This air force will fly F-16C/D Block 50 airplanes. The Aeronautica Militare Italiana is believed to have secured its initial suppression-of-enemy-air-defenses airplane. This air force will assign the Tornado Italian Electronic Combat Reconnaissance airplane to its 50 degrees Stormo's 155 degrees Gruppo. The airplane is unique for its conversion status and use of the HoneywellSTN Atlas infrared linescanner.

Revitalizing army: electronic warfare

Article Abstract:

The United States Army revitalizes its operational electronic warfare (EW) capabilities in order to generate the effects that are needed for land force component commanders to dominate the electromagnetic spectrum. The threats to U.S. Army commanders brought about by the current conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan have convinced leaders that Army forces should control the EMS during military operations.

Ravens over Bosnia

Article Abstract:

A military officer talks about his experience of flying over Bosnia on a military mission. He describes his daily activities, including the food that he had during the mission. His experience during a major strike on enemy strongholds is also discussed.
