NATO and EU 'strategic airlift' initiative successfully concluded under German leadership

Article Abstract:

NATO-and EU nations agreed to a contract on the provision of assured access to strategic lift capacities at the beginning of 2006. With this contract participating nations would remedy their capability gaps existing in this area until a sufficient number of own strategic transport aircraft are introduced into service.

RAFALE's operational maturity

Article Abstract:

The Dassault RAFALE attained full operational capability (FOC) at Saint Dizier on 27 June 2006 and it is fully operational with both the French Air Force and Naval Aviation. The operational aspects involving the preparation and conduct of combat missions as well as the organization of logistic support are discussed.
