Vice Admiral Clees Van Duyvendjik, Commander-in-Chief Royal Netherlands Navy, Rear Admiral Michel Verhulst, Chief of Naval Staff Belgium, Rear Admiral Torsten Lindh, Inspector General Royal Swedish Navy, Rear Admiral Tim Sloth Jorgensen, Admiral Royal Danish Fleet, Admiral Nuno Goncalo Vieira Matias, Chief of Staff Portuguese Navy, and Admiral Marcel-Lo De Donno, Chief of Staff Italian Navy, all respond to six questions regarding minesweeping, minehunting, mine clearing operations and minelaying.

Trends in conventional submarine developments

Article Abstract:

The interest in conventional, non-nuclear submarines has not decreased since the end of the East-West confrontation. These submarines are considered assets for cover operation and as deterrents to potential adversaries.
