The rapid shift in communications technology was a cause of rapidly changing nature and location of military operations. The systems were designed to provide voice channels for communications between particular national field headquarters (HQ) at one-and two-star levels within a heavy-force structure and were proving flexible to meet changing requirements

TNO develops ROBIN radar software for bird detection

Article Abstract:

TNO has developed a new version of its ROBIN bird detection for military operations. The new version, known as Robin-4, is based on the ROBIN-2 system built in 1998, but is optimized for advance, high-speed computer architectures.
