Article Abstract:

Sea Power 21, which is the U.S. Navy's vision of training, equipping and fighting in the new century, was developed in response to the new challenges of the emerging security environment and the combination of political/ideological radicalism and advanced technology. The Sea Power 21 has three principle components, Sea Strike, Sea Shield and Sea Basing that exploit the unique characteristics of naval forces.

Pacific overtones and bellicose rhetoric: U.S. walks cautious tightrope in Westpac

Article Abstract:

The political relationship of United States of America with the countries belonging to the Pacific region like North Korea and Japan especially with reference to the development of nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction is discussed. It is reported that along with North Korea and Japan, the United States should also be aware of the threats posed by countries like China, Taiwan and other Southeast Asian countries.
